Regensburg, 25.10.2019INSYS icom, the leading producer of industrial data communication and networking, and Bechtle IT-Systemhaus Solingen have entered into a partnership. In order to make optimal use of the opportunities offered by the Internet of Things (IoT), these previously separate areas need to interlock seamlessly. While Bechtle Solingen as a system house contributes its expertise in information technology (IT), INSYS icom has since 1992 stood for secure communication and the networking of data in industrial applications (OT).

Machines and field installations are networked by the supplier’s intelligent, high-performance hardware and software solutions. These also record operating and production data and transmit it to production-related IT systems such as MES or SCADA, as well as to the cloud or ERP systems.

“This is how we are building a bridge between OT and IT. For example, production data can be fed into company systems – such as ERP systems – or processed and analysed using modern Big Data analytics solutions. The result is targeted production improvements as well as new business and efficient service models,” explains Sun Spornraft, Head of Market Communications at INSYS icom, who is now responsible for sales in the IT channel.

Bechtle Solingen is a specialist in the IT sector and has already implemented many successful digitalisation projects. In addition to classic IT solutions – including networking systems, IT security, high-availability data centres and virtualisation – the IT system house also offers consulting and support for CIO organisations in the implementation of customer-specific digital transformation. The partnership offers a decisive advantage to the customers of Bechtle IT System House: with the professional communication technology of INSYS icom they can now network their production plants and machines with their IT systems.
