With the growth of industrial IoT projects worldwide, the Regensburg-based company is on an expansion course and is now gaining support from the IT distribution field. Ingram Micro is the first partner in the starting blocks.

“We are delighted to have won Ingram Micro, a leading distributor of information and communication technology products and services, as our partner,” says Sun Spornraft, Head of Market Communications at INSYS icom. With immediate effect she is responsible for sales in the IT channel. “Together we offer concrete solutions for IIoT projects and will be driving forward digitalisation in everyday industrial operations.”

With this cooperation the Dornach-based distributor is expanding its product portfolio for the intelligent bridging between IT and OT. “INSYS icom is a premium manufacturer in the field of industrial data communication and remote maintenance. We are confident that with its complete solutions – ranging from ecosystems and hardware to managed services and device management solutions – our new partner will impress our customers,” confirms Martin Hümmecke, Director Specialty Solutions Germany at Ingram Micro. In addition to the Data Capture / POS team, he has also been responsible for Physical Security and Unified Communication & Collaboration (UCC) since 2017. “In this way, we are consistently pursuing our course as a driver of digitalisation. Together with INSYS icom we will be able to combine different requirements from different solution areas and markets, thus providing optimal answers,” continues Hümmecke.

Since the diverse applications and fields of deployment of industrial routers are not self-explanatory for everyone, INSYS icom also supports its customers with free test installations, technical consulting and advisory training. In this field the manufacturer can draw on many years of experience: with its technical expertise in secure communication and remote maintenance, INSYS icom has been impressing business customers and project partners alike for more than 27 years with its extensive know-how in software, both on embedded devices and in the cloud.
