Level monitoring at reservoir in 2474 m altitude
“Linthal 2015” is an underground pumped-storage power station in the Swiss Alps. Water is pumped back from the Limmernsee into the Muttsee, that is located 630 m above, and used for power generation. The pump and turbine capacity of 1000 MW each can substitute a nuclear power plant.
The whole solution is so efficient because the INSYS Smart Device IMON-G200 SC enters deep sleep time-controlled and connects the whole measuring and automation technology to the power supply only in the awake phase.
That’s why a small solar panel and a small accumulator set for buffering the harvested energy is sufficient for the whole measuring station.
We call this Green Efficiency!
