Stable system connection worldwide
ABB uses the MIRO-L230 cellular router from INSYS icom to connect the robots to the internet. The router enables a stable LTE connection with worldwide frequency coverage and extensive country and provider authorisations. Thanks to its compact size, the MIRO only requires a small amount of space in the robot control cabinet allowing ABB to network its globally distributed devices securely and stably and access them remotely.
Efficient global asset management
With the system connection via the router, robot controllers can be seamlessly integrated into IT systems. It enables standardised and secure data transmission from the controller to the ABB backend or its cloud. This creates full transparency across the entire operation, which requires efficient system management.
