In addition to Deutsche Telekom, which will shut down its 2G network on June 30, 2028, Vodafone is planning to gradually shut down its 2G network by the end of 2030. Telefónica (O2) has not yet given a specific date for the shutdown of its 2G network and will continue to operate the standard.

What happens to regions that only have 2G reception so far?
